J Coleman Miller

Fascinated by the great artists of the early 20th century- especially those who used chance in the commission of their works, fine art photographer J. Coleman Miller has created a new twist on aleatoric composition. When Miller photographs the swirling colors of Koi and the reflections that dance on the rippling surface of a clear pond, slow moving wafts of smoke, intricate rock formations and crumpled metal- magical images come to life in a new form of surrealist expressionism. The works convey a deep sense of emotional connection, touching viewers with engaging, dreamlike images and unearthing darker, ghostly scenes as though from a childhood dream.
